Rehrig Pacific Company, manufacturers since 1913 and the leading provider of roll-out carts and curbside containers for the recycling and waste industry in North America, is pleased to introduce a new line of plastic rear load and front load commercial containers.
Since the ‘80s, Rehrig Pacific Company has supplied both municipal and private haulers with plastic containers for the collection of solid waste and recyclables. Based on input from industry groups and their customers, Rehrig developed alternatives to the metal and plastic commercial containers currently available. “Throughout the years we’ve worked with municipalities and haulers to identify their needs and develop innovative products that provide efficient solutions for the industry,” said Shawn Kruse, Rehrig’s Commercial Container Business Manager. “Our new plastic containers weigh 1/3 less than comparable metal containers yet are engineered to last longer and reduce or eliminate most repair costs.”
Drawing on decades of design and manufacturing experience, Rehrig selected materials and created specific features that would endure the abuses all commercial containers suffer during the collection process. Both the rear and front load containers are manufactured with high-impact, UV stabilized, 100% recyclable, polyethylene (PE) resin that will not rust, cleans easily and never needs painting. Designed for quiet pick-up and disposal, these plastic containers can be used in noise sensitive areas and collected at times often prohibited for metal containers.
“Rehrig’s front load container design is truly unique with its replaceable pocket sleeves with integrally molded-in bumpers that add sidewall thickness and protection against punctures and repeated impacts,” said Kruse. “Our engineers included standard features in both models that reinforce strength and durability as well as ease of use.” Rehrig’s designs include molded floor beams and stepped sidewalls which provide extra stiffness for support against sagging and bowing and the rigid crowned lids resist droop and prevent water collection.
