China Advanced Construction Materials Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CADC) ("China ACM"), a leading provider of ready-mix concrete and related technical services in China, today announced that Jeremy Goodwin, President and Chief Financial Officer, is scheduled to present at Infrastructure Investment World Asia 2010 on September 2, at 2 p.m. local time.
The conference runs August 31 to September 3, and is being held at the Kowloon Shangri La Hotel, Hong Kong.
In remarks prepared for delivery at the prestigious conference later this month, Mr. Goodwin says leadership in eco-conscious solutions, intellectual property and innovation are the key drivers of success for the building materials industry in Asia now and throughout this decade.
"Regional governments in Asia are already leading the global marketplace in current and budgeted infrastructure spend for the next two decades. In addition, increasingly stringent government regulation surrounding building codes, energy efficiency quotas, requirements to use recyclable materials and minimizing environmental impact are becoming paramount in the transportation infrastructure build out across Asia with China in the lead," Mr. Goodwin notes. "Companies stuck in the commodity building materials business model of just a couple years ago will not be able to compete in the new, high-tech, eco-conscious building materials paradigm rapidly evolving in Asia.
"This has created an opportunity for visionary industry leaders to anticipate these trends, shape and guide the industry with a greater focus on social responsibility, energy and material efficiency, and sophisticated IP-based building materials and chemical admixtures.
"Ready mix concrete, iron, steel, architecture and transportation system implementation -- all require custom solutions based on cutting edge intellectual property, chemical, material and structural engineering expertise. Companies with the ability to do so, combined with meeting ever more challenging environmental standards, will thrive and lead the infrastructure build out -- profitably -- in Asia in the years ahead as the marketplace demands and pays up for value-added services and products," Mr. Goodwin concludes.
Mr. Goodwin will be speaking on the Conference's Transport Panel, titled, Matching Market Demand in Asia with Investor Appetite - How Profitable are Transport-Related Infrastructures? He will be speaking alongside other industry leaders including Indonesian Vice-Minister of Transport Mr. Bambang Susantono.
Mr. Goodwin will be available for one-on-one meetings with institutional investors and the media during the conference.
