MacLellan Services Divests its Indian Paint Finishing Subsidiary

MacLellan Services, Inc., headquartered in Lexington, KY USA is delighted to announce the sale of Haden International Group India Pvt. Ltd., its India based paint finishing subsidiary, to Eisenmann AG of Boblingen, Germany.

As a result of the sale, Eisenmann gains entry to the dynamic and growing India marketplace while MacLellan divests a company whose activities were not a part of its core business in North America and India.

MacLellan Chairman Jeff Betzoldt commented, “this is really a fulfillment of our 2006 pledge to rejuvenate the Haden business that we made at the time we acquired it. The business is now stable and Eisenmann is well positioned to grow the company in the future.” While Mr. Betzoldt expressed bitter-sweet feelings about parting ways with an outstanding staff of Haden associates, he is confident this move was in the best long term interest of all parties involved.

Eisenmann, with some 2400 employees worldwide and strong engineering pedigree will bring to Haden, and the India market, exemplary research and development capabilities as well as technologically advanced product offerings. MacLellan will focus more energy and resources on increasing its already leading position in India’s industrial facility management and maintenance market. MacLellan has seen substantial growth in its Integrated Facilities Management business in India and will continue to expand throughout the region. MacLellan India Vice Chairman Ravi Nair was on hand for the formal hand off of the Haden business to its new owners.
