MonoSol LLC, the world leader in water-soluble sustainable films and solutions, introduces MonoDose(TM) Crystal(TM) water-soluble film. This new polyvinyl alcohol film offers greater clarity, which allows product manufacturers to offer exceptionally attractive products.
MonoDose Crystal produces ultra-high clarity sachets that are ideal for a wide variety of detergents and disinfectants as well as other consumer and commercial chemicals to be packed in unit doses.
"We're very excited to achieve this level of crystal clarity in a water-soluble film," noted P. Scott Bening, President and CEO of MonoSol.
"By filling this niche, we enhance our ability to further meet consumer and industrial demands in unit-dose delivery systems."
While other films in MonoSol's MonoDose family generally have a clear appearance, they do retain a slight haze as a result of the chemical make-up of the film and the production process.
MonoDose films are used for individually packaging pre-measured doses of products. When the sachets are introduced to water, the film completely dissolves and releases the product.
"We have been working closely with industrial innovators during the development of this new product. MonoDose Crystal is a great example of product development success made possible though cooperative developments designed to meet and exceed consumer expectations. Beyond the detergent and disinfectant industries, we're always looking to explore new applications for these films," said Bening.
