On 15 September 2010, the team at Arburg Brazil celebrated the subsidiary's 10th anniversary in the presence of Managing Partner Renate Keinath and Managing Director Sales Helmut Heinson. "The subsidiary has developed admirably and has successfully established itself in the Brazilian injection moulding market," said Renate Keinath in her speech, summarising the operation's success.
"The sales and service team has continuously developed Arburg's presence in the Brazilian market with technical competence, flexibility, reliability and a high degree of dedication," added Helmut Heinson, Managing Director Sales: "The company is now one of the leading suppliers of injection moulding technology in the premium sector, and will continue to enjoy exceptionally high growth rates in Brazil in the future."
Arburg Brazil was founded in August 2000, as the local plastics industry and the quality requirements began to gain in importance. Previously, trading partners had represented the interests of the German injection moulding machine manufacturer. The first machine was delivered to Brazil back in 1967. The basis for the company's success are the innovative machine technology "Made in Germany", the extremely high quality standards and, above all, competent experts at the local level with their know-how relating to applications and national requirements.
Extensive service and consulting
2004 marked an important milestone: Arburg Ltda. moved into a new building of its own in São Paulo. Since then, the 700 square metre facility has provided plenty of space for a well-equipped spare parts store and a large demonstration room, where tests and training can be carried out on four Allrounder injection moulding machines. This means that the now much-expanded customer base can be offered optimum consulting and support.
Kai Wender has been managing Arburg's Brazilian subsidiary since 2006. He moved to Brazil from the German headquarters in Lossburg in 2001 and, to begin with, was responsible for service and application technology consulting. The Arburg team now counts twelve employees, three of whom have been with Arburg Brazil from day one: Jeziel de Oliveira, Elizabeth Gasparek and Joelson da Silva Freitas. In order to cover this huge country, the subsidiary also receives sales support from 16 remotely-located representatives.
