Singapore Polymer Corporation (SPC), a unit of Teknor Apex Company, has appointed three new managers in its vinyl and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound businesses, it was announced today by Stanly Tan, SPC's managing director.
One of Asia's largest custom compounders, SPC serves customers in the Asia-Pacific, Oceania, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, and Africa, noted Mr. Tan, who became head of SPC on August 1. "Our new managers are charged with helping SPC to intensify its outreach to customers across a vast and diversified part of the world," he said. "Many plastics processors, medical manufacturers, and wire and cable producers in the region will discover the sheer breadth of SPC's product offerings, including literally thousands of compounds developed in the USA by Teknor Apex."
Joining the SPC team are the following individuals:
- Serene Cheng Sook Ee has joined SPC as TPE marketing manager. She brings ten years of experience in the polymer industry. Previously Ms. Cheng worked for 3M Singapore Pte. Ltd. and GE Plastics (now Sabic Innovative Plastics).
- Raymond Chua Boon Lin has been appointed marketing manager in charge of vinyl medical products. He brings twelve years of experience in the Asia Pacifica region as a sales and marketing manager for medical device product ranges. Most recently, Mr. Chua worked for Pall Filtration Pte Ltd. as a business manager with responsibilities for bioscience, medical, and OEM business portfolios.
- T.S. Wu has been appointed PVC sales manager for all vinyl products in Africa and Europe and wire and cable compounds in Saudi Arabia, Southern Malaysia, and Singapore. Previously he worked for Witco (later Crompton) Corp. and GE Silicones. Mr. Wu has experience in sales of commodity polymers and in technical support for silane-related applications.
