RPC Cobelplast-Montonate Introduces New Matt Sheet for Printing Applications

RPC Cobelplast-Montonate has announced the expansion of its range of A-PET sheet with the creation of a matt surface ideal for printing applications.

This latest development utilises the site’s extensive experience in sheet production to deliver a two-sided printable sheet, available either in matt/gloss or matt/matt specification.

New matt surface ideal for printing applications

The importance of a matt surface is that it provides an appropriate material for highly technical applications where a gloss finish is unsuitable. The sheet is particularly suitable for anti-reflex printed sheet used in advertising, in order to reduce glare and reflections.

The matt/matt variety is also highly beneficial for PETG credit cards, because the sheets are laminated in a sandwich and the matt surface allows the air to flow through, avoiding being trapped inside.

RPC Cobelplast-Montonate offers PETG for applications where a high-quality, durable solution is required – for example, identity cards that must remain valid for at least ten years and may require integrated electronic features such as microchips.
