Garland Introduces New Liquid-Applied Roof Restoration Membrane

The Garland Company, Inc. recently introduced a very low odor version of its Energizer® liquid-applied roof restoration membrane.

The new product, Energizer® LO significantly delays tear-off and replacement costs by restoring smooth-surfaced SBS, APP, and built-up roofing systems. This fast-curing, asphaltic polyurethane membrane provides an extra 65 to 78 dry mils of waterproofing and UV resistance to an aging roof system. In addition, its very low levels of VOC's make it ideal for schools, food processing facilities, and other odor-sensitive applications.

Engergizer LO is Fast-Curing

According to Tom Stuewe, product manager: “This restoration system enables us to effectively extend the life of roof systems at a fraction of the cost of replacement, which can be a real benefit to private and public sector customers dealing with aging infrastructures in this tough economy.” According to Stuewe, the Energizer LO liquid membrane significantly reduces the application cycle, which is especially important for schools and other organizations where minimizing downtime is critical. Its low-odor performance makes it ideal for medical and long-term healthcare facilities, occupied office buildings, and a whole host of applications where odor creates problems.

Application of Energizer LO is fast and simple. It can be applied with brush, squeegee, or spray without disruption to a building's occupants. Because Energizer LO liquid-applied membrane is fast-curing, a reflective coating can be applied within 15 to 30 days, which is significantly less than conventional restoration solutions.
