Most covers are made of cheap PVC, or PE (polyethylen). The more heavy duty covers are made of strong polyester at least 200 and above and are usually treated with UV protection and water resistance.
Be careful of completely waterproof materials, as when something is 100% waterproof, it tends to not breath which creates mildew underneath the cover. Vents are essential to any sort of cover because it helps decrease mildew buildup. The vents also help the cover stay on. Windy areas tend to blow air right from underneath the cover and then your cover turns into a balloon, which eventually takes a toll on the cover itself. If there's nothing to secure the cover with, it might even blow away! Formosa Covers uses breathable material that allows the covers to dry instead of letting condensation build up underneath. There are vents built in on all the covers for proper ventilation.
Formosa Covers even uses reinforced grommets and an elastic hem on the bottom of the covers which always helps to ensure a snug fit. This is important as well because the more a cover blows around in the wind, the higher the chances are of, for example, your bike tipping over with it (NOT something we want happening). If it's made with extremely horrible craftsmanship, it may even tear within just a few weeks! Without a snug fit, friction can cause extra damage to your investments.
It's safe to conclude that there is a range of situations that will cause damage to your investments. While, some of these are inevitable with the passing of time, for a tiny fraction of your overall investment, you can exponentially slow these harmful situations. Formosa Covers can save you thousands of DOLLARS, TIME, and STRESS.
