On 9 November 2010, the IXth Delphi Convention was held in São Paulo. The leading global supplier of mobile electronics and transport systems for the automotive sector bestowed the award on the Brazilian Arburg subsidiary for its role as an outstanding supplier in South America.
"We are extremely proud to have been honoured for our many years of excellent co-operation by this leading global automotive supplier," said Kai Wender, subsidiary manager of Arburg Ltda. in Brazil. The German machine construction company's aftersales activities were singled out for special praise.
Delphi presented supplier awards for each of its seven locations in South America. At Delphi EEA (Electrical/Electronic Architecture) in São Paulo, several dozen electric and hydraulic injection moulding machines from Arburg are in use for the production of plastic parts. Like all Allrounders, these machines are also "Made in Germany", i.e. they are manufactured exclusively at the company's German production location in Lossburg.
Arburg also co-operates with Delphi at other locations throughout the world and has proven to be a reliable system supplier, which designs and implements complete production systems. The injection moulding machines, including peripherals, are precisely adapted to the specific customer requirements and are characterised by their high production efficiency.
