Custom Packaging Company Expects 10% Increase in Sales

PharmTech International, custom packaging company for cattle feed, poultry feed and other livestock feeds, expects to end the year with a 10 percent increase in sales over last year -- three years after the company was purchased by Dynamite Marketing. PharmTech also produces nutritional supplements for animal feed.

“We know that many people were concerned about the possible loss of the mill when it was about to close three years ago,” said Steve Hartung, operations manager. “Three years later, our sales are even higher and we continue to have 16 employees at our two mills.”

Steve Hartung, left, operations manager at PharmTech, and Jim Zamzow, CEO of Dynamite Marketing, check operations.

Hartung attributed the increase in sales to several factors affecting the animal feed and custom manufacturing and packaging industry. One is increased optimism about the agricultural economy, he said.

In addition, overseas sales of PharmTech’s proprietary OCM Global digestive supplement for pigs, beef and poultry have increased approximately 17 percent. PharmTech sells more than 2 million pounds of OCM Global a year.

An animal feed supplement, OCM Global is a non-medicated proprietary blend of minerals that has been credited with digestive support in dairy cattle, poultry and swine for many years. OCM Global works by supporting nutrient digestibility and maximizing livestock feed intake, resulting in uninterrupted performance and growth.

PharmTech provides custom manufacturing and pelleting for private-label animal feed products. Dynamite Marketing, owner of PharmTech, has been producing animal feed and nutritional supplements for virtually every member of the animal kingdom for four generations. Dynamite is based in Meridian, Idaho, and is privately held.
