InnoVida's Fiber Composite Panels Are Used in Many Haiti Reconstruction Projects

In the past few months the number and breadth of the projects in Haiti using InnoVida's Fiber Composite Panels (FCPs) has expanded considerably.

InnoVida Fiber Composite Panels can be found in many types of projects in many different areas of Haiti.

  • Social houses
  • Middle class houses and townhomes

All projects together total approximately 162,000 SQF/15,000 m2. All of InnoVida's projects provide construction jobs to local Haitian workers. These workers are trained on location to work with InnoVida's state-of-the-art Panels. Approximately 1,000 local Haitian workers are employed in these projects.

Structures built with InnoVida's system can withstand hurricane force winds, resist earthquakes, due to their high deflection capacity of 21%, are waterproof and provide a highly energy efficient system with an insulation R-Value of 24. The use of FCPs, allows the construction of a complete structure from foundation to roof in significantly less time than conventional construction.

A House For You Foundation, Inc., a not for profit company, affiliated with InnoVida is contributing close to $1 million dollars in connection with the projects above.

Claudio Osorio, Chief Executive Officer of InnoVida said, "Being part of Haiti's recovery has been gratifying and humbling for me and everyone at InnoVida. We look forward to having the opportunity to do more. We are pleased that InnoVida Fiber Composite Panels can be used for so many different types and sizes of buildings. This allows us to assist in Haiti's recovery in multiple ways and in many different localities."
