Dow Corning’s Silicone Textile Printing Inks to be Featured at ISS Long Beach in California

Dow Corning Corporation, a leading supplier of innovative silicone solutions for the textiles industry, will feature its Dow Corning® brand Silicone Textile Printing Inks at ISS Long Beach in California, USA, this January.

Dow Corning is collaborating with industry leaders – including Lon Winters, M&R Equipment and Vapor Apparel – to demonstrate the proven performance of Dow Corning Silicone Textile Printing Inks on automatic textile presses.

Winters, president of Print This, Inc./GraphicElephants.com, will use M&R’s Sportsman EX 12-color/14-station automatic textile press and Dow Corning Silicone Textile Printing Inks to screen print on more than 1,500 Vapor Apparel shirts at Booth 2147 during the show. Vapor Apparel manufactures high-performance apparel and bulk fabrics engineered for screen printing.

“Dow Corning’s collaboration with Lon Winters, M&R Equipment and Vapor Apparel will show how our inks function on tough-to-print, high-performance athletic apparel, including apparel made from recycled materials,” said Charlie Zimmer, Dow Corning Textile global marketing manager. “Dow Corning Silicone Textile Printing Inks deliver performance aligned with environmental standards, and they meet various special design needs for customers who wish to differentiate their products from the competition.”

Dow Corning’s silicone screen printing inks are fast-curing, durable and easily pigmented, and they allow for up to eight hours of on-press time. The inks offer high elongation, anti-color migration, no cracking at low temperatures and a soft, non-tacky handle, as well as breathable, four-color dot printing.

Consumers are increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of products. Dow Corning Silicone Textile Printing Inks are an ideal solution because they contain no organotin, phthalate, formaldehyde, PVC or solvents.

Dow Corning Silicone Textile Printing Inks are suitable for automatic screen printing processes on most natural and synthetic fabrics, including elastic fabrics. Potential applications include swimsuits, gloves, hats, jackets, jerseys, pants, shirts, sleepwear, socks, undergarments and uniforms.

ISS Long Beach, the industry’s leading event for apparel and imprinted product industry professionals, attracts 12,000 attendees and more than 400 exhibitors.
