Birmingham based steel stockholder, Masteel UK Ltd, has benefitted from an increased global online presence for the supply of their high quality steel stock range.
Continued overseas success for the company is partly the result of the online services being provided to an expanding International marketplace.
John Winterton, Head of Online for Masteel UK Ltd, concludes that the internet continues to offer major challenges and huge opportunities for companies wishing to reach a global target audience. "It is a far more complex scenario than merely generating leads from a website. Investment in back office systems and training will ultimately dictate the levels of client retention and conversion rates. Online success cannot be measured by the number of website visitors alone."
The diversity of the business's stock range is continuing to prove a major hit with buyers and this success has prompted the company to extend its stockholding to their operation in Singapore. Whilst pressure vessel, chrome molybdenum and HIC tested material remain popular, Masteel now offers an even broader range of specialist carbon steel products. These products mainly target the global Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry.

The company already actively supports international business customers with trained staff communicating in Russian, Polish, Latvian, Spanish, Chinese and a variety of Indian languages. The business will be able to communicate with French customers in their native language from February 2011.
Whilst particularly strong in certain International markets, the company is actively looking to expand its trading links with even more countries in 2011.
