Gemini Coatings Releases TWP 1500 Series Wood and Deck Stain Preservative

The new TWP 1500 Series Wood Deck Stain by Gemini Coatings is a breakthrough in the architectural coatings industry.

It is one of only a handful of Exterior Stains to be registered as a Wood Preservative by the EPA. TWP Deck Stains offer advanced protection for wood by preventing UV oxidation, water absorption, mold, and mildew. The TWP 1500 Series will replace the discontinued TWP 500 Series immediately and will eventually replace the TWP 100 Series when national changes in VOC laws take effect.

TWP 1500 Series

National and State changes in VOC laws have proven to be difficult for architectural coatings including exterior wood and deck stains. The new laws require less solvents in the formulas. This minimizes the evaporation of the solvents which in turn can deplete the Ozone. To make a deck stain compliant you need to remove some of the "solvents" and replace with additional "solids". The problem is that this can cause issues with dry time, penetration into the substrate, and overall performance. The TWP 1500 Series addressed these problems by refining the formula for a "positive" dry time while improving the performance significantly. Test results have shown that the new 1500 Series outperforms both the 100 and 500 Series.

New this year will be the ability to purchase sample colors of both the 1500 Series and the 100 Series. Samples are $5 each and include shipping charges. The cost of the samples can be reimbursed if you decide to purchase from the website.
