Insulfoam will open a new engineered expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation manufacturing facility in Smithfield, Pennsylvania.
The new facility expands the company’s footprint into Western Pennsylvania and will produce energy-efficient construction and specialty insulation products for engineers, architects, contractors, and OEM businesses across North America.
Insulfoam will share the facility with its sister firm Hunter Panels, a rigid polyiso insulation producer. This joint initiative will enable the company to better serve customers’ needs for insulation products. The production is planned to start in the summer of 2011. The EPS insulation is 100% recyclable and provides high energy efficiency for both retrofits and new constructions. It also delivers durable and stable R-value to buildings.
The Director of Marketing at Insulfoam, John Cambruzzi stated that the company has successfully catered to the engineered EPS insulation industry in spite of tough economy. He added that it is the right time to expand the company’s production plans to serve the East Coast clients.
The Pennsylvania-based EPS facility will deliver block-molded EPS insulation products to Mid-Atlantic, New England, and selected Midwestern States.
