Universal Display, a specialist in energy-efficient, high-performance phosphorescent OLED materials and technology, has announced that a new facility has been established in Hong Kong, which further expands the company’s presence in Asia.
An advanced chemistry laboratory will be included in the facility. The lab will support the firm’s R&D programs in OLED technologies and materials. The new facility is located at Biotech Centre 2, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Universal Display’s President and CEO, Steven V. Abramson stated that the company consistently makes investment on OLED technology advancements and continues to extend its OLED material portfolio to meet the demand of rapidly growing OLED market. He added that the new Hong Kong chemistry lab will support the development of advanced materials for OLED lighting and displays.
Universal Display Corporation Hong Kong, subsidiary of Universal Display, operates the new facility. Universal Display serves specific requirements of OLED customers by selling UniversalPHOLED materials, licensing its OLED technologies and offering technology development services.
