Objet Geometries announced that it has featured new 3D printing materials at PDM event. The new additions to its prototyping material portfolio include Objet VeroWhitePlus, Objet VeroClear and Objet RGD5160-DM. These innovative materials provide significant support for engineers and manufacturers involved in simulation of ABS-grade plastics.
The Objet VeroWhitePlus is a rigid material and suitable for fit and form testing in various industries. This general purpose material is also suitable to validate model design. The Objet VeroClear is a clear transparent material, which helps designers to reproduce PMMA for various applications, including cosmetics containers, lenses and lighting cases.
The Objet RGD5160-DM is an ABS-like digital material, which has a high toughness rate of 65-80J/m and also has resistance to high temperature of 65°C. Objet's multi-material jetting system contributes to the unique properties of ABS-like materials. The technology enables the development of specialized composite digital materials such as the RGD5160-DM. In addition, the jetting technology can print 65 dissimilar materials.
The ABS-like digital material is ideal to simulate movable parts, products that need drop-testing and snap-fit and durable parts. The company also showcased the Objet30 Desktop printer, Objet Connex500 and Objet Connex350 printers at the PDM show.
