RPC Containers Oakham has designed new sustainable plastic cans for AkzoNobel Decorative Paints. The cans are made from 25% recycled material. They are lightweight and available in charcoal-black color.
Dulux Silk and Matt will be the first paint ranges to be utilize the new cans thet will be produced from recycled post-consumer waste materials. AkzoNobel Decorative Paints’ water-based emulsion series is being launched in injection molded polypropylene containers of 5 and 2.5 litre sizes.
Dulux Matt is a smooth paint that provides good aestheticf for ceilings and walls by reducing imperfections, while Dulux Silk color provides a glossy finish.
The new packaging demonstrates RPC Containers Oakham’s commitment to deliver high-quality products. The company has made investment at its Oakham’s plant to manage self-adhesive labels and superior in-mould labelling.
In the next few years, the company is focusing on increasing the proportion of recycled materials in the packaging containers without compromising the reliability factor. Regain, one of the leading polymer recyclers in the UK, supplies the post-consumer content needed to produce polypropylene cans.
