RPC UKSC Plenmeller is offering a blow molded 600 ml HDPE jar for Nestlé’s Nescafé Cappuccino. The jar features an in-built vent.
The HDPE jar has helped Nestlé to reduce the requirement for packaging materials, simplify logistics and maintain the frothy benefits of the Nescafé Cappuccino.
Nestlé supplies Nescafé Cappuccino in a 600 ml jar in Continental Europe. However, the company was committed to streamline the packaging and production processes to reduce the overall expenditure and carbon emission. The earlier jar integrated an intricate hinged cap and had a venting valve, induction heat-seal and wad.
RPC UKSC’s Plenmeller manufacturing facility is situated 30 miles from the Dalston, Cumbria-based processing and packaging site of Nestle. RPC Plenmeller was already producing 530 ml jars, the patented containers of Nestlé for its Skinny Cow and Aero powdered drinks.
The 600 ml jar, similar to the design of the Aero 530 ml jar, has a design feature for gas release that is generated by the booster ingredient included in the powdered products. The booster ingredient produces a frothing effect of cappuccino when hot water is used. The jar could distort without this venting feature. After packing the Cappuccino, the jar is closed with a cap. A complete-body shrink sleeve is used to decorate the jar and the cap to offer tamper proof to the product.
