Dr. Ganiyu "G.J." Jaiyeola, a recognized expert and consultant in the application of corrosion analysis and protection technology for ferrous and nonferrous materials, has accepted a position of Corrosion and Metallurgical Engineer with Stork Climax Research Services, to begin June 1, 2011.
Background includes work with Honeywell, Boeing, NASA, U.S. Air Force
From an undergraduate organic geochemistry study in 1979 to his Ph.D. thesis on passivation sixteen years later, Dr. Jaiyeola's academic and professional career demonstrates both a breadth and depth of knowledge in materials, applications, and processes. His project experience in companies including Boeing, Stryker, and Federal-Mogul ranges from building an electrochemical sensor for detecting corrosion in an USAF aircraft fuel tank to developing a rust-preventative cleaning process for Halliburton.
Stork CRS Engineering Manager Dr. John Tartaglia said, "Dr. Jaiyeola will be an important contributor to our world class team of materials experts. He has a deep understanding of the corrosion challenges that our automotive, medical, and aerospace customers face. G.J. can lead them toward effective solutions for their businesses. He will support our reputation for providing high-quality analytical studies of corrosion problems, especially those involving stress-assisted corrosion phenomena such as hydrogen embrittlement. We hope you will join us in welcoming G.J. to the lab. "
Jaiyeola is an active member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), the American Chemical Society (ACS), ASM International (The Materials Information Society), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
