Alliance Polymers + Services Unveils Soft A-Series of Maxelast Thermoplastic Elastomers

Alliance Polymers & Services, which distributes Maxelast TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) exclusively in the North American market, has introduced the soft A-Series of Maxelast thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for overmolding applications.

The styrenic A-Series thermoplastic elastomers allow processors to mold at lower injection pressures and processing temperatures when compared to existing products. Their broad range of Shore A hardness between 10 and 85 A allow them to be effectively overmolded onto PC/ABS, APS, PC or copolyester substrates.

The thermoplastic elastomer series offers molding properties such as simple to process, good compression set, superior grip properties and soft feel with high flexibility. The TPEs offer scratch resistance and aesthetic appeal.

The A-Series of thermoplastic elastomers are ideal for products, including auto components, toys, game controls, consumer electronics, computers, personal care goods, and tools such as power and hand tools.

Companies such as Puma, Nike, Adidas, Panasonic, Samsung, Honda, Buick, VW and Stanley Tools are using the Maxelast TPEs in their products.
