Torwin, a company specializing in window and door products, has announced the launch of new Armor Series vinyl windows from Vinylbilt.
These windows have LoE 180 performance glass that offers increased energy efficiency and in turn increases insulation by nearly 40%.
The vinyl windows have a double glazed format, but provide triple glazed performance. The windows cost the same as that of a double glazed window. They also block UV radiation that leads to fading and damage of household products.
The LoE 180 glass technology prevents humid and hot air from entering the home in summer. In winter, it reduces heat loss during the nights, helping keep the home warm. It also aids in bringing in more heat into the home during the day. These factors help reduce heating costs in winter and air conditioning costs in summer.
The increased efficiency improves the R and ER ratings according to NRCAN standards and specifications.
