Dow Corning has selected Emanuele Mascherpa to distribute its silicone-based solutions used in the production of solar photovoltaic modules in the Italian market.
Emanuele Mascherpa supplies anti-corrosion products, encapsulants, industrial sealants and adhesives, specialty lubricants, components and machine tools in Italy. As per the deal, the company will distribute Dow Corning's sealants, adhesives and junction box potting agents to solar industry customers. It already distributes Dow Corning’s XIAMETER brand products, electronic products, lubricants and industrial sealants.
In addition to the worldwide supply network expansion, Dow Corning has announced a $13 million investment plan for the Solar Energy Exploration & Development Center to be located in Seneffe, Belgium.
Dow Corning offers an extensive range of silicon-based products across the whole photovoltaic value chain. The company continues to expand its offerings for solar cell production, module assembly and deployment through strategic investment. It produces ultra-performance silicone solutions, including solar grade silicon, sealants and potting agents, coatings, adhesives and encapsulants.
According to Allison Ashbrook, who serves as Dow Corning’s Global Distribution Manager, an exclusive channel partner in Italy is important for the company as the country is a major European market.
The President of Emanuele Mascherpa, Luciano Mascherpa stated that the company is happy to include Dow Corning Solar products to its existing range of offerings.
