Dynomax declared that Bombardier has awarded a contract to its aerospace operations to supply high-precision machined metal parts for Bombardier’s business jet called the Learjet 85.
Dynomax designs and produces machine tool spindles, specialty machines, sub-assemblies, high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling. As per the contract, the company will deliver structural components, which will be utilized to produce aircraft wings, fuselage and bulkhead. The company will also manufacture detailed components for the first stage of the jet program primary flight control package that comprises rudder components, elevator and aileron.
Dynomax was selected based on its commitment towards stringent design specifications and timely delivery. The founder and Chief Executive Officer at Dynomax, Dr. Richard Zic commented that the company is happy to work with Bombardier. The company’s constant relationship is an outcome of its sophisticated technology and lean production practices, he said.
Bombardier introduced the Learjet 85 aircraft in October 2007. The business jet falls between the midsize and super midsize segments. The aircraft is anticipated to feature a transcontinental range of up to 3,000 nautical miles or 5,556 km and a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.80.
Dynomax will build the aerospace structural components at its facility located in Wheeling, Illinois.
