Memstar Technology, a company specializing in research and development, production and application of hollow fibre membrane, announced that it is now set for large-scale production of TIPS PVDF, a new hollow fibre membrane, and associated products.
PVDF membrane is used for wastewater and water treatment in various industries. The product has been recently certified by NSF for use in drinking water projects. The innovative TIPS membrane from Memstar will enhance the efficiency and performance of PVDF membrane. The TIPS fibre’s mechanical strength is 4 to 6 times stronger than conventional NIPS fibres. It also has longer service life, stronger ozone resistance and anti-oxidation property and stronger alkali resistance.
In addition to wastewater and water treatment application, the PVDF hollow fibre membrane is utilized for sea water desalination. The products have been used in various projects in North and South America, Europe, Taiwan, South East Asia and China.
The TIPS PVDF hollow fibre membrane will help the company to further reinforce its position as a global membrane manufacturer and to compete in major water and wastewater projects.
