Glue Dots International (GDI), a manufacturer of reliable and flexible adhesive solution for a broad range of applications and markets, has launched a new fully automated adhesive applicator, SD-900.

The SD-900 is designed for easy, rapid and clean application of Glue Dots Brand adhesives. The data obtained from current GDI applications in printing, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical and general packaging industries enabled the company to develop the SD-900 with enhanced performance. The inline adhesive applicator improves workers’ safety by preventing burn injury risk. It eliminates cleaning and waste and thereby decreases maintenance and operating expenses.
The adhesive applicator can be easily integrated into existing and new automated production lines. The tool has been engineered with horizontal and vertical orientations for continuous and irregular application of adhesives. The SD-900 has an application rate of 300 per minute and a rotary switch controls the number and cycle of Glue Dots adhesives that are applied.
The major objective for developing the new applicator was to include application flexibility and to remove additional engineering or advanced programming requirement, and the SD-900 tool has achieved this goal.
