Smithers Rapra Technology Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the University of Wolverhampton's School of Technology to produce an MSc in Polymer Engineering Design.
Working together, Smithers Rapra and the University of Wolverhampton have developed a flexible MSc programme which allows individuals to study full or part-time to achieve a formal qualification in Polymer Engineering Design.
The programme incorporates several Smithers Rapra short courses, which draw upon years of expertise in industrial problem solving. This coursework is underpinned by further study at the University's Telford Campus, providing access to its state of the art facilities for rapid manufacturing and prototyping. In addition to core material, a choice of study options ensures individuals can pursue an MSc award that is relevant to their working environment and/or future career.
People attending Smithers Rapra's Short Courses as traditional 'stand-alone' two day courses now have the option of deciding at a later date to enroll in the MSc programme and undertake further study and examination. There will also be Intermediate Awards available for people not wishing to complete a full programme of study to MSc., i.e. a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) and a Postgraduate Diploma (PgD).
The MSc is one of very few polymer-related post-graduate programmes in the UK. By working together, Smithers Rapra and the University of Wolverhampton have created a programme that benefits from the expertise of both academia and industry to create a highly relevant award.
