NewAge Industries Manufactures Silcon Med-X Silicone Tubing

NewAge Industries, a manufacturer and fabricator of thermoset and thermoplastic tubing in reinforced and unreinforced styles, announced that it now produces Silcon Med-X, a platinum-cured silicone tubing.

The tubing is soft, flexible and does not support the growth of bacteria. It is ideal for applications in various industries, including food, health and beauty, pharmaceutical, biomedical and medical.

The company manufactures silicone tubing that is either platinum cured or peroxide cured. The platinum-cured tubing products provide less number of extractables and are free from plasticizers that can cause leaching, resulting in tube hardening or fluid flow contamination.

If tubing with the highest degree of purity is used for processing and transfer applications, the resulting product will also be of high purity. The Silcon Med-X uses elastomer that meets United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Class VI standards. The Silcon Med-X does not react to body tissues and fluids; however, it should not be used for implantation or in-body applications.

The product is available in heat-sealed polybags and offered in 17 sizes that range from .030” to .625” I.D.
