INVISTA, an integrated manufacturer of polymers and fibers, has demonstrated the versatility of its LYCRA beauty fabric at Mode City conducted from 9 to 11 July 2011 in Paris.
At Mode City, INVISTA displayed its new superior performance specialty fabrics for the production of shaping intimate apparel. It also demonstrated the concept garments and commercial samples highlighting the flawless development of the new LYCRA beauty fabric. It has also introduced the LYCRA beauty fabric material for shaping swimwear.
Over 40 global brands have adopted the company’s beauty fabric as of June 2011. The company introduced the LYCRA beauty fabric in September 2010. The LYCRA fiber is a brand of premium stretch fabrics and fibers, including elastane fiber, which can be used with other fabric materials, including leather, wool, cotton and even cashmere. It offers perfect fit, comfort and liberty of movement to the consumers.
In 2011, INVISTA is expanding its LYCRA beauty platform to fulfill the end users’ demands for comfort and shaping with an extensive range of intimate apparel materials, including ultra-lightweight fabrics or delicate lace to flawless garment construction technology.
Alistair Williamson, who serves as the Managing Account Director for INVISTA Apparel’s apparel and swimwear in Europe and North America, commented that the company is happy about the adoption of its LYCRA beauty fabric in the shaping designs of global apparel brands, including Wacoal, Spanx, La Perla and Bali, within one year of its introduction.
