A global technology specialist in the production of chemical products and specialty materials, Celanese has revealed third party review of its proprietary ethanol technology.
WorleyParsons and Fluor have validated the Celanese TCX advanced ethanol technology based on non-disclosure agreements. The technology utilized basic hydrocarbon feedstocks to produce industrial ethanol and fuel.
Celanese’s SVP, operational and technical, Jim Alder stated that the company expects the analyses by world-class firms such as WorleyParsons and Fluor provides additional confidence on its ethanol technology.
Fluor, a provider of engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance (EPCM), and project management services to diverse industries across the world, has completed an individual validation of the Celanese CTX technology. Fluor has come out with the result that the 400 kta plant designed using the technology will meet the production capacity and conversion requirements.
WorleyParsons, a company providing engineering, procurement and construction management services to complex process industries and resources and energy sectors, has validated the Celanese’s ethanol technology and states that the 400 kta ethanol facility in China, planned for construction using this technology will be able to meet the required capacity and efficiency targets.
