Surface Guard Unveils Two New Series of Protective Films

A protective packaging specialist, Surface Guard has launched two new series of protective films, Surface Guard 132 series and Surface Guard 133 series. These films provide temporary shield to a wide range of shiny surfaces such as plastics and painted metals. The films can be easily and quickly removed, when shielding is not required.

The 132 series and 133 series feature a polyolefin film coated with a water-based, eco-friendly acrylic adhesive system. This exceptional adhesive chemistry offers a low peel rate with moderate tack, which enables easy adherence of the film to glossy surfaces. The two protective film series have minor differences in adhesion strength though they are similar protective film grades. Testing shows that both the new series display low adhesion build over time when it is utilized with bright aluminum, painted metal, acrylic, poly carbonate and stainless steel surfaces.

Surface Guard 132 series and 133 series are available on a 2.5 mil Low Density or 1.5 mil Linear Low Density polyethylene films. In addition, they are available in clear and tinted forms. These films can be delivered in roll lengths ranging up to 15,000’ and widths ranging from 1” to 80”. Based on demand, the company can offer the film to include technical information, instructions for processing or lamination and brand identity.
