Henkel, a global producer of adhesives and sealants, announced that it will feature innovative adhesive solutions at the 2011 European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference (EU PVSEC). EU PVSEC is an event that discusses new trends and developments in the solar industry.
The new two-component adhesive Loctite 3388P not only enables high-strength ingot bonding, but can later be removed quickly and easily with water.
The company develops advanced solutions for the photovoltaic industry to meet the market requirements. The company will present a wider range of high-tech adhesives, conductive adhesives and weather-resistant adhesives for the PV backsheets used in the production of solar modules.
Henkel offers high-tech adhesives, sealants and cleaners for the PV sector to produce and install solar modules. Some of the high-tech adhesives are Loctite and Terostat. Loctite 3388P is a two-component adhesive that ensures high-strength ingot bonding and also allows easy and quick removal with water.
The company also features conductive adhesives that are used in the recent crystalline silicon (c-Si) and thin-film solar module assembly. Hysol Eccobond CA3556HF is a conductive adhesive offered by Henkel and it is used as a substitute for traditional solder connections in solar modules. The conductive adhesives meet the lower temperature curing needs along with faster cure speeds and low stress.
In addition, Henkel will present different weather-resistant adhesives for PV backsheets. The Liofol brand is currently focusing on laminating technology to solve the issues in the solar industry.
