Dr Chris Fowler, director of Corrosion at Exova, will be chairing the latest Oil and Gas Pipeline Integrity Management Summit to be held at the beginning of October.
The leading names from the Oil and Gas industry will converge on the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre for the two-day event which will start on Monday October 3.
Exova will also have an exhibition booth at the conference centre which will be manned by the Oil and Gas team.
The summit, endorsed by NACE, will feature a roundtable format, with operators, contractors and service providers alike coming together to discuss specific challenges and developments in the industry.
Exova won't be the only major Oil and Gas company attending, with Shell, Nexen, Chevron, Dong Energy and Total also expected to attend.
Oil and Gas Pipeline Integrity Management Summit 2011 is the second in this series of conferences and is will deal with Europe's leading event focusing only on the challenges of PIMS ranging from inspection, monitoring and risk assessment through to managing corrosion, leak detection and third party interference. With the cost implications of breaches in pipeline integrity running so high and the implied economic returns of extended lifecycle - the importance of effective pipeline integrity management cannot be overstated.
