US-based distribution company, Xpedx has opened a new package design centre in Cincinnati. The new design centre will provide packaging services for food and retail customers located in the tri-state area of Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
The new centre will also help in lowering packaging costs for customers based in Cincinnati and in turn help them to market their products at a greater speed.
The company will use its own web-based technology at the new centre called the GlobalPKG Software, which specialises in packaging development and management and can be used at any of the company’s ten package design centre networks across the country. In the same manner, the Cincinnati centre can also access manufacturing and automotive packaging technologies from other centres easily. The new centre has other technologies such as the Gaynes Drop Tester, Kongsberg CAD and the Artios CAD.
Xpedx helps its customers to achieve profitability and enhance the image of their products by providing them with low cost, sustainable and high value package designs. The company is also able to manage the entire packaging process from the design phase till the assembly and delivery phase effectively as it deals with a single source of packing material, which is paper. Moreover, customers can avail the company’s services at a single point at a lower cost since the new centre is equipped with all in-house systems. Apart from supplying neutral package designs such as the corrugated and folded carton, thermoformed plastics and moulded fibre, the company also provides packaging machinery and systems with particular focus on the optimization of the product line.
