CompoClay of San Francisco, a manufacturer and distributor of eco-friendly material for green building construction, along with the Greater Alameda Business Association and the City of Alameda has introduced seven new train station signs made from eco-friendly construction materials at Willow Street Station in Alameda, California. CompoClay has delivered the required materials for constructing the signs.
The seven new green signs are placed in various stations across the city of Alameda: High, Versailles, Chestnut, Morton, Willow, Grand and Bay. Each station is installed with two green signs made from CompoClay’s innovative material. Almost twenty years ago, wooden signs have been installed that were worn down in just 10 years and this required expensive repair. But, the eco-friendly signs overcame this issue, as they provide excellent resistance to weather, thermal shock, freeze-thawing, UV radiation, moisture and termite, mildew and mold growth.
The new material offered by CompoClay is made of sand, water and minerals and it is eco-friendly, non-combustible and harmless. It also has the capability to imitate materials ranging from metal and wood to pottery and concrete while maintaining durability and safety. CompoClay is committed to offer eco-friendly products to individual and cities for helping the world to go green. In addition to offering signs, the company provides garden décor, home furnishings and building materials.
