Swedish company, Mittel has developed an enhanced version of its existing TSC welding machine. This machine can be used to weld the joints of large pipes that are used in district heating and cooling applications.
The new version of the TSC Welding machine can be used for joints measuring 2,000 mm and has increased power. While the earlier version of the machine could measure temperature at only a certain point in the melt, this machine can measure the temperature all along the melt. The machine is also not affected by voltage fluctuations and this provides more reliability. The welding machine employs GPS system to keep a log of its position and the files, in which these logs are stored, can be sent to a computer through Bluetooth. With this machine, the company is also providing its Stateview System, which comes with the entire range of alarm systems, alarm wires, detection system and preventive maintenance. The combination of this system and the machine is ideal for the existing as well as new heating and cooling systems for districts.
According to David Appelblad, who is the Project Manager for Mittel, the TSC welding machine will help customers to complete their projects at a lesser time and costs without requiring extensive maintenance. He also added that their product gives them a leading edge in markets like India and the Middle East.
