Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment solutions designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, introduces the CEAST SmartRheo10 Capillary Basic package.
This package guarantees quality control and production control and is suitable as a replacement for Dynisco, Kayeness and other similar rheometers.
Capillary rheometers are particularly useful in solving polymer processing problems and can be used to emulate processing conditions at extreme temperature and shear rate conditions. Highly sensitive to the polymer molecular structure, rheometers are able to detect subtle differences between "good" and "bad" materials. Frequently used to quantitate effects of moisture, fillers, additives, plasticizers, and modifiers, the CEAST SR10 can identify differences in impact resistance, elongation, strength, die swell, melt strength, melt fracture, heat seal strength, and adhesion.
Some useful features of the CEAST SR10 are robust pistons and die/nozzles which are both extremely reliable, composed of high strength hardened steel. And, with a two-column rigid H-type frame construction, this structure now guarantees maximum testing performance. The CEAST SR10 also meets ISO 11443, ASTM D3835, and equivalent standards.
