Sandvik Coromant, a tools manufacturer for the metal cutting industry, has declared the opening of a new productivity unit in California. The 17,051 square-foot facility has shown a large investment in manufacturing segment of California.
This facility will provide manufacturing training resources to the clients and reinforces its presence in the southwest area.
The new center is specifically designed to support the manufacture for increasing the operations of metal cutting by providing technical seminars, theory-based training courses and by demonstrating hands-on machining devices. Machining experts and training specialists will be employed at the productivity facility and will teach methods for enhancing metal cutting productivity and efficiency to the customers.
The company will open this new facility on April 3, 2012. An Open House event will be conducted, featuring executive meet and greets, live machine demonstrations, facility tours, and technical presentations. Event participants will have the chance to speak with Sandvik’s technical persons.
According to the Productivity Center and Training Manager, Robert Page, the productivity centers in the globe have united the theory with training and hands-on practice for the customers. A large client base is available in the southwest area. The company will have the potential to offer help and training to meet the opportunities and difficulties in the business.
This new productivity center will concentrate on supporting the manufacturers in America in order to increase the profitability and productivity by means of application and understanding of the new technologies in machining methods, machine tools and cutting tools.
