Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), a United Technologies company, and DanCopter, Blueway’s wholly owned subsidiary, have inked a new Guaranteed Maintenance Cost Plan contract for detailed maintenance support of the new PT6C-67C engines.
Norway-based Blueway is a provider of helicopter services in North Europe. The customer service centre Europe of P&WC closely worked to modify the contract for the helicopters that are functioned by DanCopter in order to support Nigeria’s offshore oil and gas operations.
According to Raffaele Virgili, P&WC’s Vice President of Customer Service, the activities of BluWay necessarily need a reliable engine along as well as dependable support. P&WC is excited with the opportunity to help and customize the FMP contract. He added that the commitment of the company’s support managers is to closely work with Blueway in order to help the team to achieve the operational objectives for the new PT6C-67C engine fleet.
The Guaranteed Maintenance Cost Plan of the FMP program is a flexible agreement and allows the clients to maintain protection and cost stability, while choosing from a service menu depending on the individual demands. This tailor-made contract with DanCopter covers accidental removal of engines, trend monitoring of engine condition, overhaul, rental support, hot section inspection, fuel nozzles and other options, which cater to the unique demands of the clients.
