Spain-based Ogapora has commenced the beverageware production from Eastman Tritan copolyester in order to rectify the breaking issues occurring in during frequent dishwashing.
This new generation Tritan copolyester offers properties like clarity, durability and toughness to the dishwasher. It is free from bisphenol A (BPA).
The company supplies high-end pitchers, tumblers and stemmed glasses like wine, water, and champagne flutes and martini glasses. Tritan’s two special material qualities include toughness of the dishwasher and it being BPA-free. Hence, Tritan was adopted by Ogapora in order to replace polycarbonate (PC).
General Manager and Partner of Ogapora, Guiomar Alvarez stated that the company chose Eastman Tritan, because this copolyester will not create breakage or cracks in the dishwasher. He added that the company wanted to address the concerns of the clients about the product safety, which will be daily used by choosing a BPA-free material. Clients are benefited from the aesthetic appeal, clarity and durability of the Tritan material.
Ogapora has obtained industry knowledge and insight from a qualified material provider, by partnering with Eastman Chemical and utilizing Tritan copolyester for the beverageware production.
The clients of Ogapora include beachside restaurants, luxury hotels along with outdoor pools, wherein the artistic products that are resistant to shatter are required. Ogapora’s beverageware that is made using Eastman Tritan copolyester can be seen at Ambiente 2012 in Germany.
