Wiley-VCH announced a new look for Steel Research International, the flagship journal for metallurgy, steel and related materials.
Steel Research International is dedicated to reporting only the most important developments in steel research, and reporting them quickly. Tim Adams, editor of Steel Research International, said "When you read a paper in our journal, you're reading a paper that was assessed as being both technically accurate and important to a broad audience of researchers."
The journal also has a reputation for speed with average times to final decision of about 5 weeks, and accepted papers published online within 3 weeks. Managing editor Sibylle Meyer added, "Our streamlined editorial workflow means that unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles are eliminated so your work is published without delay."
And with the new look, each issue will feature a different cover design based on the work of the authors. "Our authors are very competitive when it comes to designing the front cover. It's a unique place to showcase your research and always a talking point in the community." said Advanced Engineering Materials editor-in-chief and Materials Science publisher Jörn Ritterbusch.
Rather than being merely a journal, with these new features Steel Research International has become a dynamic forum for the rapid dissemination of the most important developments in steel and related materials, and for the promotion of authors and their work to the widest possible audience.
