B&W Tek, an advanced instrumentation company producing optical spectroscopy and laser systems is pleased to announce that its NanoRam handheld Raman spectrometer is the winner of the Laboratory Equipment 2012 Reader's Choice Award in the Spectrometry category.
B&W Tek is thrilled to be receiving a Reader's Choice Award for the second year in a row. They will accept the award during this year's Pittcon Conference and Expo being held in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center where B&W Tek will be exhibiting at Booth #3780.
This year's award winner, the NanoRam is a new class of small, handheld instruments for materials identification and verification within cGMP compliant facilities. It is a state-of-the-art compact Raman spectrometer and integrated computing system, based on an open systems architecture design that can support a broad range of applications in multiple industries.
Designed for use by non-specialists, the NanoRam is easy to use and operates single-handedly. It is the only handheld Raman spectrometer to feature both a TE cooled spectrometer and a stabilized laser source and is unique for its Wi-Fi capabilities.
Last year's Reader's Choice Award winner, the i-Raman is a high resolution Raman spectrometer unique for its high resolution combined with field-portability. With performance comparable to large bench-top Raman systems and weighing less than 10 lbs, it's a portable laboratory instrument available at a fraction of the cost to many large footprint Raman instruments on the market today.
