Scio Diamond Technology has announced that it has started the commercial production of diamonds that are grown in the laboratory and many milestones have been passed in the diamond production.
The company has taken steps to reinforce the efforts of research and development in Massachusetts.
Joe Lancia, CEO of Scio Diamond Technology commented that the previous reactors of the company, who are housed at the R&D facility in Massachusetts, have planned to arrive on March 9, 2012 at the Greenville headquarters. The company is going to complete the essential infrastructure for supporting the reactors. These reactors will be ready for use during the initial installation of the reactors, as soon as they arrive. Experts are hired and employed, as per schedule, to support production.
Cultured diamond samples are continuously offered by the company to the main industrial and commercial clients. The company has sent 23 rough stones for cutting and polishing, during the previous week. More than 75 stones will be sampled in the next 30 days.
Joe Lancia stated that the company is encouraged through the improvement in commercialization. The reactors will arrive in the future. The company will install and run these reactors in the upcoming days. There is a demand for the lab-grown diamonds, due to the extension of distribution and sales, and meeting the technical requirements.
Recently, the company moved to Massachusetts R&D facility, and is analyzing the production reactors before shipping to South Carolina.
