Dow Corning, a silicon and silicone-based product innovator, has planned to develop the coatings solutions in order to help customers by enhancing the quality, performance and sustainability.
Univar and Dow Corning Coatings have signed long-term European distribution contracts and extended this agreement in 2011 to include Austria, the Baltic region, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa and Turkey. Currently, this contract is again expanded to include Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Lebanon in Middle East-Africa Region (MEA).
According to Account Manager of Dow Corning Coatings, Miki Cuscela, the company is excited to collaborate with Univar in the above-mentioned new markets. Univar has formed a qualified team in Europe, and works as a combined unit across the boundaries and effectively caters to the demands of the local and worldwide clients. This contract is a natural expansion of the present network to the significant markets in the Middle East.
Univar and Dow Corning Coatings have been partners for over 20 years in many Western European countries. Previously, Univar has a coatings business that offers various products of Dow Corning Coatings. Silicone additives are included in these products that are applicable to a wide range of applications like decorative paints, inks, industrial paints and varnishes.
