Air Products, a provider of industrial gases, performance materials, technologies and equipment, announced that it will display its PolarFit series of cryogenic solutions at the NPE 2012 exposition, which is to be held in Orlando, Florida from April 1 to 5, 2012.
The cryogenic solutions are used for inerting, process cooling, deflashing and grinding processes. With the use of Air Products’ technologies and process enhancement solutions based on industrial gases, , manufacturers can increase quality, efficiency and safety of products; decrease production costs; and maximize production rates.
PolarFit ultra-fine-grinding mill is one of the solutions that will be highlighted at the NPE 2012 event. The grinding system breaks down hard-to-grind materials into small-sized particles in a cost-effective manner. The PolarFit mill utilizes a mix of size reduction methods, including particle-particle collision, attrition and impact, to enable consistent productivity of fine particles in a range of 45 to 240 µ. It uses liquid nitrogen to discard heat from the process.
Key benefits of the PolarFit grinding mill include production of ultra-fine to coarse particles, lower production costs, less recycling, enhanced product quality due to less or no heat damage, higher particle yields and highly uniform particle distribution.
Air Products owns a modern laboratory in Allentown, Pennylvania, through which it helps manufacturers to evaluate the viability of using cryogenic solutions in their processes and also helps to calculate the advantages versus cost. The lab offers latest testing equipment and services that help manufacturers to increase throughput, improve quality, and minimize capital and operating costs.
