SPE Thermoforming Division Announces Call For Entries in Annual Parts Competition

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Thermoforming Division has announced a call for entries in its annual Parts Competition, showcasing the latest advances in thermoforming design and application. The submission deadline is September 7, 2012.

The parts entered in the Competition will be on display during the 21st SPE Thermoforming Conference, which will be held September 23-25 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Awards for winning parts will be presented at the Thermoformer of the Year Dinner on Sunday, September 23, at the hotel.

"For this year's conference, SPE is focusing on attracting even more key decision-makers from OEM companies in order to raise awareness of the unique capabilities of thermoforming," said Eric Short, 2012 Parts Competition chair. "The parts entered in the competition will enable these participants to discover the best that the thermoforming industry has to offer and can help spark further innovation in product design."

Guidelines for Competition entrants and the required product entry form are posted online at http://thermoformingdivision.com/parts-competition/guidelinesentry-form. All product images and descriptions must be emailed to Eric Short at [email protected] by the September 7 deadline.

Competition entrants may submit parts from roll-fed systems to one of these categories: Industrial, Medical, or Food; for parts from heavy-gauge systems, the available categories are Vacuum Form, Pressure Form, or Heavy Sheet.
