Jacobs Engineering Group, a provider of professional, technical, and construction services, has reported that the company has received an order from Evonik Industries in order to offer basic engineering services for a grassroots polyamide 12 production plant located in Asia.
Jacobs closely works with Germany-based project team from Evonik in order to create the new chemical facility’s conceptual design. This new plant is based on the previous plants of Evonik located in Germany. The project members are operating from Jacobs' Leiden office located in the Netherlands to carry out the front end engineering design (FEED) work, which will be supported by Jacobs' office in India.
Based on the framework contract inked during 2011, engineering services are offered by Jacobs to the global process industry projects of Evonik Industries.
According to Robert Matha, Vide President of Jacobs Engineering Group, the company has established a valuable partnership with Evonik by helping challenging projects in Asia, Europe and the United States. The company is delighted to maintain the global relationship by carrying out this next investment phase of Evonik in Asia, he stated.
Evonik is a company that produces specialty chemicals. Production plants of this company are located in 28 countries. As per the present plan, this new chemical plant is looking forward to help increasing the requirements for Evonik's advanced polymer product in Asia.
