Placon Develops Eco-Friendly Deli Containers Using 100% Recycled PETE

Placon, a designer and producer of stock and custom thermoformed packaging products, has announced that the company has unveiled a new line of eco-friendly deli containers, Evolutions. Tamper-evident lids together with highly performing and tight-fitting seals are featured in these deli containers, which keeps the product fresh for a longer time.

A 100% EcoStar recycled PETE is used to make the Evolutions deli recyclable containers that are easy to open and close. This material is derived from PETE bottles collected at curbside. The leak resistance of the deli containers is strong and this packaging line offers excellent clarity for visual impact.

Evolutions provide two design options for the food processors. These designs include inside fit lid that allows a film sealed container and secure container stacking. The tamper-evident lid is suitable for five, square deli container, whose size ranges from 8 to 32 oz and retailers are allowed to minimize inventory wherein the shelf space is maximized.

The company provides a detailed product line of retail food packaging that is made using EcoStar recycled materials. Almost one billion soft drink and water bottles have been taken from landfills and are converted into EcoStar packaging of the company.
