Solarvalley Central Germany, a cluster formed by 35 photovoltaic (PV) companies and 20 research institutes and universities, is extending invitations to its annual meeting, which will be held at the International Congress Center of Munich (ICM) in Germany during the 2012 Intersolar Europe exhibition.
‘Prospects of success for German PV technology in North Africa’ will be the main focus of the agenda. The group has organized the event along with EESA joint initiative and received support from IMG Investment and Marketing Corporation of Saxony-Anhalt and GIZ. The event will be beneficial for the German photovoltaic sector, as it shows major interest in the establishment of new foreign business markets and association with the global scientific community.
The meeting is scheduled on June 14, 2012 and there will be 11 presentations on various topics, including technological solutions for arid climates, market development, opportunities for collaboration and political framework conditions for PV in North Africa. In addition, the recent information on the Moroccan PV market will be presented by IRESEN, a new research institute, MASEN, an agency for solar energy, and ADEREE, a national energy agency. ANME, the national energy agency, and GIZ will deliver presentation on the market in Tunisia. Barriers existing in the German PV industry and adaptation techniques will also be discussed at the event.
